Wedlake Bell has announced its sponsorship of London Art Week 2023 enhancing its commitment to clients’ private capital needs following the recent recruitment of one of London’s market leading Art & Luxury teams.
London Art Week (LAW), which runs from 30th June to 7th July) has become a key event on the arts calendar with a particular buzz around its flagship Summer event, which embraces the classic Old Master auction season in London in July. A major showcase of leading galleries and auction houses in London and internationally, LAW brings together the finest paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture and objects, dating from antiquity to the present day, with a series of gallery tours and talks from academics and specialists sharing their expertise.
The partnership fits well with Wedlake Bell’s wide ranging experience and dedication to supporting its clients, many of whom have private or business interests in the arts and culture sector.
The Art & Luxury team at Wedlake Bell advises clients (a number of whom will be participating in LAW) ranging from artists, private collectors and international art galleries through to collector car dealers, fine wine financiers, and private equity backed musical instrument funds. The team has recently acted on ground-breaking cases relating to artists’ rights and high-value title disputes as well as saving collections for the nation and helping clients to achieve world-record auction results.
Wedlake Bell will team up with LAW to offer a number of events and seminars throughout the rest of 2023.
Wedlake Bell Managing Partner Martin Arnold said of the partnership: ” We are delighted to be supporting London Art Week this year. It is also an excellent opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to the art world and sits very squarely in a space that is of great interest to our clients across the firm. Our Art & Luxury focus is a priority following the arrival of Rudy Capildeo, Tim Maxwell and their team last year. We look forward to launching our partnership with the team at LAW and to a programme of interesting events this year. “
Head of the Art & Luxury team, Rudy Capildeo added: ” London Art Week is a key event in the calendar for us here at Wedlake Bell. It is a great opportunity for us to catch up with our clients in person and to introduce them to galleries in Mayfair, St James’s and beyond. London Art Week is an important part of London’s cultural economy, which is critical post-Covid and it gives everyone an opportunity to renew those personal relationships. At Wedlake Bell we pride ourselves on our personal service and LAW events and opportunities really fit with this ethos.
