Expertise
Sam’s practice incorporates both contentious and non-contentious work, predominantly acting for insolvency practitioners. He has substantial experience of litigation in the context of insolvency proceedings, including claims against various parties to recover misappropriated assets and complex applications for directions by officeholders (with particular expertise in the financial services sector). His non-contentious experience includes significant restructuring assignments in the hotel and leisure sector (amongst many others) and business and asset sales in the context of administration.
Career History
Sam studied law at the University of Warwick before completing his Legal Practice Course at the University of the West of England. He joined Osborne Clarke’s London office as a trainee in March 2006, qualifying into its Restructuring & Insolvency team in 2008. Sam has continued to practise as a restructuring and insolvency lawyer since then, and joined Moon Beever in January 2017. He joined Wedlake Bell when the two firms merged in July 2021.
