Jo is a solicitor in the construction team and has varied experience acting for developers, landed estates and investors. She has particular experience of working within the life sciences sector.

Jo has experience of drafting and negotiating construction contracts and professional appointments. Jo also assists her commercial real estate colleagues by providing construction support into real estate contracts such as agreements for lease.

Relevant Expereince

• Acting for one of Europe’s biggest life sciences companies in two circa £40 million deals to appoint their professional team for redevelopment in London.
• Acting for one of the UK’s largest shopping centres on various unit fit out works, together with maintenance of the shopping centre. This included reviewing the building contracts, drafting schedules of amendments,
  drafting appointment documents and liaising with the client, consultant and project manager for negotiation and completion of the building contract and appointment document.
• Dealing with the termination of consultant appointments on the renovation of a private residence in London, worth over £100 million.
• Assisting on the appointment of the professional team on various projects for a large family-owned estate in central London. This involved drafting, negotiating and completing the professional appointments.

Career History

Jo obtained a degree in law from the University of Kent and completed the LPC at the University of Law Bloomsbury. She trained at Cripps and qualified in March 2019.

Prior to qualification, she spent a number of years paralegalling in residential and commercial real estate and the knowledge she has gained from that experience complements her construction law practise.
