Edward has extensive experience in various contentious and non-contentious disciplines particularly commercial litigation. Increasingly, Edward concentrates on insolvency-related litigation (corporate and personal), including claims against directors (both claimant and defendant work), large fraud matters, property related disputes and professional negligence.
He has represented a diverse client base, including insolvency practitioners, private individuals, companies, regulators (re telecommunications) and local authorities.
Edward is known for his meticulous yet pragmatic approach to dispute resolution, with an excellent track record in numerous matters before the Business and Property Courts and elsewhere.

Bhatia v Purkiss [2025] EWHC 359 (Ch) & [2022] EWHC 202 (Ch),: Successfully acting for a liquidator in pressing a multi-million pound claim connected with VAT fraud and thereafter in defence of a claim for rectification pursued by way of resistance to the enforcement of the fraud judgment.
Re A Company [2024] EWHC 2656 (Ch): Successfully acting for a property development company in obtaining an injunction restraining the presentation of a winding up petition in relation to a £7m debt.
Re Gamenation UK Ltd [2024] 2 BCLC 128:Successfully acting for a liquidator, with the relevant decision establishing that a claim for dishonest assistance can be brought under section 212 of the Insolvency Act 1986.
Re JD Group Limited, in liquidation [2023] EWHC 775 (Ch) and [2022] EWHC 202 (Ch):Successfully acting for a liquidator pursuing a claim against a director for fraudulent breach of duty concerning VAT.
