Expertise 
David Duhig is a senior associate in the Corporate team, where he advises a broad spectrum of clients on both domestic and cross-border corporate transactions. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations and strategic investments.
David also has significant experience advising on joint ventures, shareholder arrangements and investment agreements, with particular expertise in the technology and hotel and hospitality sectors.
Experience 
- Acting for Fuller, Smith & Turner PLC, the listed pubs and hotels business, on its acquisition of Lovely Pubs Group for a total consideration of £22.5m, a transaction which furthers Fuller’s managed pubs and hotels estate.
- Advising IJM, one of Malaysia’s leading conglomerates and listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad with a market capitalisation of £2bn, in relation to its acquisition of 50% of the share capital of JRL Group, a privately owned, UK-based diversified construction group, for £50m. This strategic investment furthers IJM’s expansion into the United Kingdom and strengthens its core construction capabilities.
- Advising the Marvesting group (headquartered in France) on its acquisition of Stellar Global Holdings Ltd (Stellar).
- Advising Allenby Capital and Oak Securities on Pathfinder Minerals Plc’s reverse takeover of Rome Resources Ltd and £4m placing.
- Advising the Fashion Retail Academy on its acquisition of the entire issued share capital of the London College of Beauty Therapy.
- Advising the shareholders of Altitec Trading Limited and separately the shareholders of Obelisk Energy Limited (and their related group of international companies) on the sale of both groups to Danish-based energy group Swire Renewable Energy A/S
