Moving house during coronavirus – the new lockdown rules explained- The Times

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has left the housing market at a halt for just over two months. However, following a surprise announcement from the government last week, physical house viewings are now allowed to take place under specific social -distancing guidelines in England. This is a positive step although, it is likely it will take some time before the housing market is fully functional again. Some of the changes include urging sellers to leave their properties when a viewing is taking place, encouraging video calls for viewings and advice on how to speed up the process of property transactions. Residential Property partner Nick Stone provides comment on the impact on the residential property market.
