The UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has defended its decision not to intervene in Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. The CMA argued that the proposed deal did not meet the jurisdiction and monetary requirements for a full investigation. However, critics have stated that the CMA’s failure to investigate further allows Microsoft to gain too much power in the gaming market.
