At Wedlake Bell, we recognise this and the importance of staying at the forefront of industry changes. To meet the evolving demands of our clients and business, we continuously develop our legal services. Our approach to AI reflects this commitment, ensuring data security and proper supervision of all work.
Our collective mission is to ensure we use the right technologies in the best possible way. We are trying to make the smartest moves as opposed to invest in everything and are keen that everything we do adds real value both to our clients and to our business. We have already made strong progress and are building capabilities which are second to none. Our AI capabilities are growing by the day, supported by a robust strategy and due diligence regime to ensure we invest in the right tools. We recognise that change management is supremely important when adopting new technologies and working practices, and we maintain a strong focus on this aspect.

We constantly test, invest in and embrace new technology in order to enable the delivery of legal services to clients, both faster and more cost-effectively.
Key technologies we are leveraging to drive forward our innovation are based around AI, Data Science, Automation, Workflows and Collaboration. Examples of systems we use daily to deliver the best possible outcomes for client include: Microsoft Copilot; Orbital Witness (an advanced real estate AI tool); Thirdfort (to streamline client onboarding); HighQ (for enhanced client collaboration); and Docusign (to deliver speed, ease and convenience to our clients when signing documents).

Our Innovation Committee is chaired by Tom Allfree and our Technology team is led by David Hymers. Together they work closely with all practice groups within the Firm to ensure we have the right set of tools to deliver work as effectively as possible. Our Innovation Committee which is represented by all areas of the business meet regularly to discuss ideas and decide where innovative solutions are best implemented. Client service and efficiency are at the core of everything we do.
