Recent Experience
- Defending a client after a judicial review claim had been brought against them.
- Recovering arrears from both commercial and residential tenants on behalf of a leading mutual life insurance and pensions company.
- Working on the appeal case of Orientfield Holdings Ltd –v- Bird & Bird LLP where we successfully acted for the respondent in having the appeal dismissed.
- Acting for an Intervener in the Supreme Court appeal case of R (on the application of Miller and another) v Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union.
Career History
Laura studied Law undergraduate degree at Cardiff University and obtained a first class honours. After completing the undergraduate degree she worked as a paralegal in Cardiff firm Leo Abse & Cohen, working within the dispute resolution team dealing with Professional Negligence and Contested Probate claims. Laura went on to undertake the LPC and gained a distinction. She started at Wedlake Bell in September 2015 as a trainee solicitor and qualified in 2017.
