Laura Brookes

Laura is a trainee at the firm currently sitting in her third seat with the Commercial Property team.

In her previous seat with the Corporate team, she assisted on a range of merger and acquisition transactions and corporate governance advisory work. She has also completed a seat in the Private Client team, where she worked on a broad mix of offshore, onshore and contentious matters for individuals, family offices and trusts, advising on tax, succession and wealth planning.

Before commencing her training contract, Laura worked as a paralegal in the Insolvency and Restructuring team, where she undertook a wide range of contentious and non-contentious insolvency work. She also has extensive experience from the work she did as a litigation paralegal prior to joining Wedlake Bell, advising national clients on a range of commercial disputes.

• Advising a UHNW individual in regard to all aspects of his wealth, succession and tax planning across multiple jurisdictions, including a contentious tax dispute.
• Advising an international client on a multi-million pound contract dispute which was then resolved at a mediation.
