Julian’s practice covers M&A, private equity, venture capital and related financings, as well as general corporate advisory. Julian also has extensive experience of international deals.

Julian’s practice has a strong emphasis on the hospitality and leisure and private equity sectors. In the hospitality and leisure sector, he has a particular focus on hotel and restaurant transactions. In the restaurant sector, he acts for many high street brands as well as a private equity investor specialising in the industry.

In the hotel sector, Julian acts for a range of hotel owners and operators, from prominent 5-star London brand hotels to budget operators.

• Acting for TriSpan Rising Stars on the secondary buy-out of Pho 2012, the holding company of Pho Café.
• Acting for the founders of Banana Tree Restaurant Group selling to The Big Table Group.
• Acting for Francesco Mazzei in respect of various management agreements with Corinthia Hotels.
• Numerous refinancings for Honest Burgers Ltd with Santander.
• Acting for the management of Smyle in respect of their rollover into Project Elm Limited.
