Frances Paulton

Frances is a solicitor in the Utilities team. She is a skilled litigator with extensive experience in the utilities sector. She specialises in the resolution of high-value commercial debts, and also advises clients on contested applications for warrant of entry, complex billing issues and compliance with OFGEM licence conditions.

Committed to delivering practical solutions that align with her client’s operational goals, Frances does this whilst maintaining a strong focus on regulatory compliance.

In addition to her advisory work, Frances delivers regular training sessions for clients.

• Advising clients on the prospects of obtaining disputed warrants of entry, obtaining the warrants or agreeing alternative methods of resolution.
• Agreeing settlements where disputes included tenant liability of multi-occupied sites and metering charges for non-consuming meters.
• Advising clients on a range of issues, including meter tampering, effects of leases on the liability of freeholders/leaseholders in deemed contracts and backbilling issues.
