Emma advises clients on a range of non-contentious and transactional commercial, intellectual property, technology and data protection matters. Her client base ranges from startups and growing businesses to multinationals, across a range of sectors, including hospitality and leisure, retail, technology, automotive, the creative industries and charities.
Emma has experience advising on a variety of commercial arrangements, including service agreements, supplier agreements, framework agreements, IT and technology contracts (including SaaS agreements), intellectual property licences and assignments, and terms and conditions. Emma also advises on intellectual property ownership, protection and exploitation, including licensing arrangements and related matters. Emma works closely with the Corporate team on M&A transactions, reorganisations and legal due diligence exercises, helping clients navigate commercial, intellectual property, technology and data protection issues as part of wider transactions. Emma also supports clients on a range of data protection and privacy matters, including privacy policies and notices, data processing agreements, international data transfers and complex data subject access requests (DSARs).
Before qualifying as a solicitor, Emma worked in publishing for a number of years.
