Elizabeth is an experienced commercial litigator with a practice focused on art, music and the creative and luxury industries. She protects artists’ rights and offers skilful navigation through a broad range of contentious issues, including those concerning title and provenance, auction house guarantees, authenticity of artworks, management and representation agreements, partnership, accounting of artist royalties and commissions, restitution of looted art, contract termination, fiduciary duties, civil fraud, director and shareholder disputes, copyright and trademark infringement, passing off, and the proper administration of trusts and estates.
The success that Elizabeth has achieved for her clients in the High Court and Court of Appeal has resulted in precedent-setting case law, but she also has a long history of discreetly resolving high-profile disputes outside of the courtroom.

- Advising high-profile clients on a dispute with their art advisor regarding suspected fraud and mismanagement of their modern art collection.
- Acting for a prominent art collector in a high-value claim against a major auction house concerning irrevocable bids.
- Acting for a party in High Court litigation concerning an important painting by a highly influential 20th-century artist involving issues of title, security, repudiatory breach, part-payments vs deposits, bailment and tortious claims of conversion.
- Protecting the intellectual property rights and reputations of numerous artists and artist estates by tackling unlawful infringements of their copyrights and trademarks (registered and unregistered).
