Alex has previously spent two years working as a commercial construction paralegal at BCLP LLP. Here, he enjoyed assisting a team of forty colleagues with major construction and engineering projects across multiple sectors, stretching across every stage of the construction lifecycle. Alex has assisted with project procurement strategies, contract structures, funding arrangements and risk management advice for an extensive blue-chip client list of reputable institutions.

Subsequent to this, he joined Fladgate LLP where he solely assisted a construction partner with all transactional advice and queries surrounding mixed use, residential and commercial developments for principal client and residential developer, Quintain Limited.

Recent Experience

  • Alex took ownership for managing the Crown Estate’s minor works project portfolio, which regularly encompassed 10-15 projects at any one time. Regular tasks would involve drafting professional appointments, collateral warranties, and third-party rights notices, whilst liaising with the project team to collate commercial information from consultants and sub-contractors.
  • Alex successfully coordinated the progression of all professional appointments surrounding the redevelopment works and future deliverance of office accommodation, restaurant and retail spaces at New Zealand House for The Crown Estate.
  • Alex has drafted numerous legal documents for multiple residential developments and entertainment venues at Wembley Park when servicing Quintain Limited.
