Following her recent Freedom of Information request to the Care Quality Commission, Ann Stanyer has commented for Yahoo! News on the data, which reveals nearly 13,000 cases of potential financial abuse in just four years.
On the data, Ann writes that, “it is unclear from the FOI results as to where the problem lies – whether the abuse is real, whether it is based on suspicions of the care home residents, whether it is perpetrated by care home staff or care home visitors.”
