Cafcass (the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service, who represent children in family law cases in England) have reported on the number of new private law cases referred to them in July 2021.
They reported having received 3,757 cases that month – which is less than the 4,515 they received in July 2020.
The number of children involved in the above relevant cases also decreased – by 1,079 children (less than the 6,895 involved in July 2020, down to 5,816 in July 2021).
