Highlights from this year’s results include a new Tier 3 ranking for Agriculture and Estates, an improved Tier 3 ranking for Senior Executives, new sector rankings in Hospitality and Leisure and Charities and Not-for-Profit, and a number of individual promotions and first-time recognitions.

In Private Client, the firm’s Agriculture and Estates practice has secured a new Tier 3 ranking, having been recognised as a Firm to Watch in the previous edition. The Family team has also seen continued progress, with both Family: Divorce and Financial Remedy and Family: Children moving up a tier to achieve Tier 4 and Tier 5 rankings respectively.

The firm also celebrated individual recognition for several lawyers. Caecilia Dance has been ranked as a Leading Associate in Art and Cultural Property for the first time, while Rebecca Christie has been promoted from Leading Associate to Next Generation Partner in both Family: Children and Family: Divorce and Financial Remedy. Recent joiners to the firm have also brought recognised expertise, with Hetty Gleave retaining her Leading Partner ranking in Art and Cultural Property and Jonathan Brinsden recognised as a Hall of Fame lawyer in Charities and Not-for-Profit.

Elsewhere, Wedlake Bell’s Senior Executives practice improved from Tier 4 to Tier 3, reflecting the strength of the team’s work for senior leaders, directors and high-profile individuals. The firm also secured a new Tier 4 ranking in Hospitality and Leisure, highlighting the growing reputation of its Real Estate and sector-focused offering, and Tier 3 in Charities and Not-for-Profit, reflecting the strength of its recently expanded charities practice.

The results build on a strong platform of existing rankings across the firm. Legal 500 continues to recognise the firm’s market-leading expertise in areas including Art and Cultural Property (Tier 1), Debt Recovery (Tier 1), Corporate (Tier 2), Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate (Tier 2), Residential Property (Tier 2), Commercial Property: Corporate Occupiers (Tier 2), and a broad range of contentious and non-contentious commercial, employment, pensions, property and technology practices.
