Wedlake Bell advises Valent Projects Ltd on £1.1m fundraising round
Corporate partner Stephen Callender and corporate lawyer Clare Carroll have advised Valent on it’s £1.1m fundraising.
Valent’s AI, Ariadne, predicts, detects and responds by understanding how bad actors seek to manipulate information flows. Previously, organisations were forced to use marketing software that couldn’t differentiate human activity from bots; Ariadne spots patterns, learns and advises users how to respond.
The round was led by Bayes Entrepreneurship Fund alongside angel investors including Carsten Kraus, German Angel Investor of the year 2024.
The proceeds of this funding round will enable Valent to build out its tech offering and scale its sales footprint.
Faisal Ansari, CSO and co-founder of Valent, said: “”It was an absolute pleasure working again with Stephen and his team. Stephen’s client service was exceptional and we really appreciated his commercial insight in steering us through this important transaction.”
Commenting on the transaction, Stephen Callender said: “We were delighted to have supported Amil Khan and Faisal Ansari with Valent’s latest fundraising round. Disinformation and the manipulation of information flows by bad actors can cause lasting damage to businesses and it is pleasing to see a pioneering UK tech company working with governments and financial institutions to proactively respond to informational threats. Valent’s latest raise will allow it to continue to develop its multiagent AI and remain at the forefront of identifying and countering disinformation.”
