Senior Partner quoted in the Financial Times on global wealth mobility trends

Camilla Wallace has been quoted in a recent Financial Times article examining global mobility trends among high-net-worth individuals.

The article explores new research showing a significant slowdown in the number of wealthy individuals relocating their tax residence, following a period of heightened movement driven by political and fiscal change. In particular, the UK experienced a sharp decline in the number of individuals planning or undertaking relocation after the abolition of the non-dom tax regime.

This shift is unsurprising, with many ultra-high-net-worth non-domiciled individuals having already reassessed their position and acted on relocation decisions in response to earlier reforms. As a result, the current data suggests a move towards a more stable and predictable environment, rather than the reactive, event-driven behaviour seen in recent years.

The research also highlights a broader change in drivers behind international mobility, with individuals placing greater emphasis on long-term considerations such as inheritance planning and wealth structuring, rather than purely tax-based motivations.
