Head of Insolvency & Restructuring featured in Recovery magazine on the Government’s new Fraud Strategy
Partner and Head of Insolvency & Restructuring Frances Coulson has authored an article for the Summer 2026 edition of Recovery magazine examining the Government’s new Fraud Strategy 2026–2029.
In the article, Frances welcomes the strategy’s ambition to tackle what has become the most prevalent crime affecting individuals and businesses in the UK, but argues that meaningful progress will depend on practical implementation rather than policy design alone.
The piece highlights four key themes: elevating civil recovery processes alongside criminal enforcement, fully mobilising the private sector as an operational partner, placing victims at the centre of the response and adopting faster, larger-scale intervention against organised fraud. Frances also explores the role insolvency and asset recovery tools can play in preserving assets, recovering losses and improving outcomes for victims.
