Rachel heads up the Real Estate Development team and specialises in all aspects of acquisition and development work.

She has a broad range of experience that encompasses site acquisitions, strategic development (option, promotion and hybrid agreements), complex joint venture and partnerships arrangements, funding, collaboration agreements, overage, build-to-rent disposals, affordable housing disposals, and the acquisition and sale of serviced parcels.

Her clients include major UK housebuilders, overseas investors, SME developers, promoters and landowners.

Rachel previously worked in house at a top 10 UK housebuilder.

  • Advising an award-winning top ten UK housebuilder on the purchase of a £40m site at Bicester as part of a larger site of the UK’s first ‘eco town’. The transaction included obligations on the buyer to carry out infrastructure works and promote part of the site for planning.
  • Advising an award-winning south east England housebuilder and construction group on two build-to-rent (BTR) developments in Kent and East Sussex in partnership with two global asset managers to deliver over 200 homes.
  • Advising an award-winning privately owned south east residential developer on all aspects of its unconditional acquisition of a 50+ acre farm for residential redevelopment to provide approximately 250 new homes with a refurbishment of the existing listed farmhouse and barns.
  • Advising one of the UK’s most respected private housebuilders on the acquisition and sub-sale of a serviced parcel forming part of a wider consortium site for BTR development.
  • Advising a multiple award-winning heritage residential developer
    on the acquisition and funding of a 5.3-acre development site in Bath with planning permission for the development of 250 units.
  • Advising a UK housebuilder on its acquisition, joint venture arrangements with a large well-known housing association and partial disposal of a mixed-use site in the south east.
  • Acting for a land promoter in connection with various strategic sites in the Midlands and south east.
