About Natasha
Expertise
Natasha advises on a variety of family law matters with a focus on resolving the financial issues arising on divorce. Natasha has extensive experience in cases involving complex corporate structures, inherited wealth and assets held in trust and/or outside the jurisdiction. She also advises on pre and post nuptial agreements and in relation to proceedings under Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989 (financial provision for children where parents are unmarried).
Natasha acts for clients from all walks of life, including city professionals, entrepreneurs, politicians, artists and homemakers. In recent years, she has represented multiple clients in financial remedy proceedings in the High Court.
Whilst Natasha specialises in highly contested cases, she champions alternative dispute resolution, particularly where her clients require discretion and/or where early financial settlement is possible. She is a member of Resolution, an organisation of family lawyers committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes.
Experience
- Acting for a prominent businessman with assets exceeding £100m. The case involved complex corporate structures, business valuation disputes and novel legal arguments relating to pre-marital assets. Notwithstanding these issues, the case was resolved by a negotiated agreement.
- Obtaining a large lump sum for a wife in financial remedy proceedings culminating in a High Court final hearing. Later enforcement proceedings resulted in an interim charging order, freezing injunction and an increased lump sum award.
- Representing a wife in respect of financial remedy proceedings and separate injunction proceedings in the King’s Bench Division, relating to breach of confidence and misuse of private information.
- Representing a successful entrepreneur with high value property assets and illiquid investments held across the world. Whilst proceedings were issued in the High Court, a Wells sharing arrangement was negotiated which ensured the client was not unfairly prejudiced by retaining the family’s “riskier” investment assets.
- Advising a number of clients in respect of pre-nuptial agreements seeking to protect significant dynastic wealth.
