Mimi Oluwande

Mimi joined Wedlake Bell as a trainee solicitor in September 2022 and qualified into the Insolvency and Restructuring team in September 2024. Mimi works on both contentious and non-contentious matters including insolvency-related fraud litigation, pre-pack administrations and transactions involving insolvent companies. She also has experience advising on director’s duties and assisting the Charity Commission with charities that are under investigation. 

• Acting for the Charity Commission following the appointment of two Wedlake Bell partners as interim managers of a charity after the former trustees were accused of misconduct.
• Acting against two directors of a group of companies found guilty of committing fraud. We acted for the liquidator of one of the companies in the run-up to the court hearing as well as in the enforcement of the judgment debt.
• Acting for administrators on administration pre-pack sales of companies.
• Acting for insolvency practitioners investigating the affairs of companies that have gone into liquidation or administration.
