Elizabeth is a skilled litigator with significant experience advising creative industry clients on complex, high-value disputes. Before joining Wedlake Bell’s award-winning Art & Luxury team, Elizabeth spent nine years at a specialist music law firm where she acted for prominent figures in the music, publishing and entertainment sectors and gained exposure to art law matters. This unique background gives her a deep understanding of intellectual property, contractual rights and the commercial dynamics of creative industries.

Elizabeth represents artists, composers, authors, artist estates, collectors, galleries, dealers, executors and charity trustees. Her contentious practice includes art market litigation, acting in leading cases involving title, provenance, authenticity, auction guarantees and civil fraud; IP and brand protection, advising on copyright infringement, passing off, IP ownership and contractual disputes; and commercial and fiduciary disputes, including breaches of fiduciary duties, director and shareholder conflicts, and trust and estate administration.

The success Elizabeth has achieved for her clients in the High Court and Court of Appeal has resulted in precedent-setting case law. She also has a long history of discreetly resolving high-profile disputes outside the courtroom, including through confidential negotiations and mediation.

Elizabeth’s cross-sector experience positions her as a trusted adviser for clients operating at the intersection of art, music, and luxury assets.
