Diljinder Sekhon

Diljinder is a skilled regulatory lawyer with significant experience of navigating businesses through the complex world of professional and financial regulations and risk. He leads the firm’s risk function and sets the firm’s related strategy. He is the current Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP).

• Over 20 years’ professional experience in the City and leading regional law firms as a corporate M&A lawyer and professional regulatory disputes.
• More recently, Diljinder has exclusively focused on regulatory law, financial crime regulation and risk, holding senior roles within law firms.
• Diljinder has previously worked for the SRA’s Regulatory Management Directorate and as a lawyer in their General Counsel team.
• Diljinder is a barrister (unregistered).

Diljinder is a member of the Law Society and the Inner Temple, and a visiting lecturer at a university in London.

He has held various public appointments in education, including as a panel member of the National College for Teaching and Leadership, legal adviser to the Institute for Learning’s Fitness to Practise Tribunal and a member of King’s College’s Research Ethics Committee.
