Expertise Down arrow

Charlotte is a solicitor in the Private Client Disputes team. She predominantly acts in post‑death disputes and has experience across a broad range of private client litigation, including high‑value and complex matters, with a strong grounding in contentious probate law and recent case developments.

She acts for executors, beneficiaries and litigation friends in claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, and advises on contentious probate issues including construction of Wills and challenges to their validity on all recognised grounds.

Charlotte regularly works with expert witnesses, including retrospective capacity assessors, and often acts for personal representatives in administration disputes between executors or between executors and beneficiaries. She has experience in multi‑party and high‑value estates involving overlapping contentious issues and has attended mediations that have successfully settled. She acts for representatives, beneficiaries and individuals excluded from estates.

She is developing experience in Court of Protection disputes, having acted in a contested deputyship application and represented attorneys and family members in sensitive litigation. Charlotte also advises on complex family dynamics and allegations of financial abuse before and after death, and is skilled at managing sensitive client relationships and explaining complex issues clearly and empathetically.
