Adam is a Senior Associate Solicitor who specialises in non-contentious commercial, IP and IT matters.

Adam advises on general commercial law & contracts, the protection & exploitation of IP rights, software (including app) development & licensing, business-process & technology outsourcing, online-business, consumer law and data protection.

Adam advises a broad range of clients of varying shapes and sizes including those operating in the tech, hotel & restaurant, retail, sports, design, financial services, property & construction and healthcare industries (amongst others).

Adam enjoys advising start-up, early-stage and fast-growing businesses.

Recent Experience

Design: Advising a market leading design consultancy in relation to its projects with various clients including those in the fashion, automotive and hospitality industries.

Tech: Advising an entrepreneur and start-up in respect of securing and exploiting the underlying intellectual property rights in and to a ground-breaking technology which has potentially wide-ranging applications including in the video-gaming/virtual reality, transportation and medical industries.

Property/construction/design: Advising the redeveloper of a landmark London building in relation to designs created by a high profile designer, including a multi-storey building ‘wrap’ to be installed around the building’s façade during construction.

Digital/video-gaming/sports: Advising on digital marketing and sponsorship arrangements in respect of a new video game and digital comic book series including in relation to a sports-personality endorsement with co-branding elements.

Tech/engineering/sports: Advised a leading automotive engineering business in relation to its agreements with various motorsports governing bodies for the bespoke design and manufacture of components for use in a worldwide motorsport championship.

Financial services/IT/security/outsourcing: Ongoing instructions from the legal and corporate services and IT systems teams for EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) of a global bank in relation to a wide variety of IT matters on both a retainer and project-specific basis, including in relation to IT infrastructure and service procurement, data security & privacy, telecoms and outsourcing.

Tech: Instructed by the technical and commercial teams for a global provider of intelligent cloud software in commodities sourcing & trading for the marine industries.

Tech: Advising on an international franchise and IP licensing arrangements in relation to a patented smart-bicycle rental system and mobile app.

Career History

Adam graduated from King’s College London with a degree in Chemistry. He also obtained a PgDL from the BPP Law School. Before commencing his legal career, Adam had experience working in the science, financial services and publishing industries.

Adam trained with Wedlake Bell and qualified as a solicitor in September 2008.

He has spent time on secondment to the Intellectual Property and Commercial team of a global premium drinks company.
