Nigel is a partner in our Corporate and M&A practice. He advises entrepreneurs, private equity funds, listed and unlisted UK companies, overseas corporations and multinationals in a variety of sectors, including financial services, industrials, logistics, manufacturing, real estate and technology.
Recognised for his extensive experience in mid-market M&A, Nigel’s practice spans the full range of domestic and cross-border transactions with particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions, downstream private equity, corporate structuring, corporate real estate and joint ventures.
Experience 
- Acting as lead legal counsel advising the shareholders of European chemical and solvent suppliers, the Solventis Group, on its cross-border acquisition by global market leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution, Brenntag.
- Acting for Sätila Studios Group on the sale to Old Sessions House Limited of Satila Farringdon, the special purpose vehicle that owns the London landmark property, The Old Sessions House.
- Acting for Brown & Brown (Europe), on its investment programme in insurance broking companies, including the acquisitions of Occam Underwriting, Flint Insurance, Aquila, Insync Insurance Solutions, RIB Group, Gauntlet, 3XD, Trimulgherry Investments, U-Sure, DCJ Group, Digney Grant, County Group, Cavendish Munro, Camberford Law, Lonmar Global Risks, Alan & Thomas Insurance Group, Green Insurance Group, Marshall Wooldridge, Higos Insurance Services, Abbey Bond Lovis and Ropner Insurance Services.
- Acting for the owner of Re-Vision BV on the sale to private equity-backed Extenda Retail, a leading provider of commerce and distribution software solutions for retailers and logistics companies. Re-Vision BV, headquartered in Waardenburg, Netherlands, is the global provider of mobile self-scanning solutions, enabling an innovative shopping experience in the retail sector.
- Acting for Urban Logistics REIT plc, the UK-based and AIM-listed industrial and logistics properties investor, on its £47.2m acquisition of seven regional warehouse properties through the purchase of a Jersey Property Unit Trust from funds controlled by Legal & General Investment Management.
