Wedlake Bell announces the arrival of new Family Partner Matthew Brunsdon-Tully

City law firm, Wedlake Bell, bolsters its Family team with the appointment of new Partner Matthew Brunsdon-Tully, who arrived on 1 April. Matthew will also be Head of Family ADR and Innovation.
Matthew is acknowledged as a leader in his field. He is Top Recommended in Spear’s 500 2021 and 2022, has been described by the Legal 500 as being “energetic, empathetic and can always see the bigger picture”, and in Chambers HNW is ranked in Band 3 where he is described as “fantastic”, having “real clarity of thought” and as someone who gives “top-quality advice”.
Matthew is also Vice-Chair of the Resolution Pensions, Tax and Financial Remedies Committee.
The hire of Matthew demonstrates Wedlake Bell’s continued investment in recruitment across the key areas of the business.
Matthew started practice as a Barrister at leading chambers 1 Hare Court where he gained expertise in all areas of family litigation including financial remedies, private law children, and jurisdiction disputes, and was junior counsel of choice for a number of leading matrimonial firms. He was previously ranked in Chambers UK Bar, where he was described as a “star of the future”. Since 2019 he has been a Partner at Forsters where he has developed further significant expertise, including, in particular, in pre-nuptial agreements, as well as in other forms of dispute resolution within family law.
Matthew is adept in advising high net worth clients on matrimonial finance disputes and children matters, including conducting Private FDRs.
The hire of Matthew is part of Wedlake Bell’s ongoing commitment to providing its clients with leading advisers in all markets. The appointments will bolster Wedlake Bell’s Partners to 70 and enhance the firm’s overall market leading position.
