Rory advises a broad range of clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters. He primarily advises UK-based individuals on Wills and trusts and the associated tax and planning issues.  On contentious matters, Rory assists clients with challenges to the validity of wills and a variety of claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.

Recent Experience

• Drafting wills and letters of wishes for clients with onshore and offshore assets.
• Advising a widow on a potential claim under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 after she was not adequately provided for under her late husband’s Will.

Career History

Rory joined Wedlake Bell in September 2017 qualifying into the Private Client department. Prior to joining the firm, Rory completed his training contract at Wilsons Solicitors LLP.

Rory has a degree in Spanish from The University of Leeds and he has completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course.
