Rebecca works with and advises UK-based and international individuals and trustees on a range of private client matters, including domestic and international trust matters and tax, estate and succession planning.
Rebecca has experience of working with both offshore and onshore private clients, trustees, beneficiaries and their advisors, having worked in London and Guernsey.
- Advising on and drafting trust documents for onshore and offshore structures including settlement deeds, novation agreements and legal opinions
- Advising on and preparing Wills, letters of wishes and lasting powers of attorney for clients with onshore and offshore assets
- Preparing tax and estate planning advice notes for clients with onshore and offshore assets, including advice on the mitigation of inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax
- Providing succession planning advice for shareholders of a family-owned company worth c.£100 million including considerations of the opportunities and limitations of offshore trust and foundation structures
Rebecca read Geography at the University of St Andrews. She then took the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course, graduating both with distinction.
Rebecca joined the Private Client team at Wedlake Bell in 2018. Prior to joining the firm, Rebecca completed her training contact at Bircham Dyson Bell LLP and spent a number of months working offshore on secondment to Collas Crill in Guernsey.
