Emily advises on a variety of employment law issues, acting for both companies and individuals. She has experience in advising employers on numerous, varied and complex HR enquiries including disciplinary and grievance issues and sickness absence management. Emily has experience of acting for both employees and employers on claims in the Employment Tribunal from starting a claim to the final hearing and often assists the corporate team on transactions including both asset and share sales.
- Drafted new employment documentation for an international business in the energy sector.
- Settled a claim for unfair dismissal and discrimination against our client.
- Succeeded in obtaining a strike out judgment prior to having to submit a defence on behalf of our client.
- Managing an international dispute between shareholders and a former employee.
Emily read Anthropology at University College, Durham University. She trained with Wedlake Bell and qualified into the employment team as a solicitor in September 2020. Emily is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
