City law firm Wedlake Bell is pleased to announce financial regulation expert Jake Ghanty has joined as a Partner in the firm’s Commercial practice.

Previously Head of Financial Regulation within the legal function of a large consultancy, Jake deals with a full range of financial services work (financial services regulation, investment management, payment systems and services, FinTech, insurance/reinsurance and structured debt and capital markets) in the retail banking and payments environment, as well as in the insurance markets and wider capital markets forum.

Jake’s arrival brings a new capability to Wedlake Bell’s offering and demonstrates the firm’s intention to support its clients in areas of particular importance.

In addition to bank regulatory work, Jake handles a significant amount of payment services work, fall-out from Brexit restructuring, consumer credit, fund management and bank and insurer licensing work and insurance regulatory matters.

Jake is recognised in the Legal 500 for FinTech and Non-Contentions FS Regulation and has been consistently ranked in Chambers and the Legal 500 for several years.
