Health and Social Care
Wedlake Bell helps its clients make space for care.
As a firm, we aim to help clients over the lifetime of their projects, from conception to conclusion. We do this by offering a full range of services and building enduring relationships with our clients.
For clients in the health and social care sector, a project will typically begin with us helping to assess and acquire suitable sites for development, negotiating the funding agreements and supervising construction of new or adapted infrastructure such as care homes, day care clubs, hospitals and more.
We have significant experience in managing multi-site acquisitions, development projects and complex funding arrangements including off-shore structures. We can also advise on the tax issues surrounding such arrangements or structures. Once the infrastructure is built, we can assist with all contractual arrangements supporting the income streams, the staffing and the services at the sites. In case of conflict, we can mediate a solution.
Our approach to the work is, wherever possible, to involve ourselves in projects at an early stage and to establish strong personal relationships with the client and their team. We encourage all our fee earners where practicable to meet their counterparts involved in the projects and to understand all aspects of the work. With multi-facetted projects good communication across teams and disciplines is key to delivering an optimum service. Our major clients endorse this approach.
